Throughout his 30+ year career, Ryan has built a diverse portfolio of award-winning projects that reimagine how we work, learn, play, and connect as communities. Many of his most impactful projects focus on civic environments 鈥� spaces that are both public in purpose and personal in how they are experienced. His design leadership is most evident in the Victoria Youth Justice Redevelopment Project in Melbourne, Australia, the Jonathan Delagrave Youth Development and Care Center in Racine, Wisconsin, and Jasper County Courthouse in Joplin, Missouri. Ryan鈥檚 work focuses on creating sensitive, comprehensive solutions that serve the most vulnerable populations with dignity and care.

In addition to his professional work, Ryan is passionate about education and mentorship. Since 2004, he has taught both graduate and undergraduate design studios and seminars at Arizona State University, and from 2011 to 2014, at the University of Arizona. His dedication to the profession has earned him the AIA Arizona Architects Medal in 2019 and elevation to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in the design category.
