Penn State’s Greenberg Indoor Sports Complex Prioritizes the Total Student-Athlete Experience

(University Park, Pa., Sept. 1, 2025) – Penn State’s Greenberg Indoor Sports Complex officially opens its doors for the 2025-26 athletics season. Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv’s design creates a comprehensive space that supports the full spectrum of student-athlete needs: nourishment, rehabilitation, performance, and connection, while reinforcing the strength and identity of the Nittany Lion brand. The new facility supports all 800-plus Penn State student-athletes across 31 varsity programs.

The 42,000-SF project creatively energizes a previously underutilized facility on campus. The upper level features a state-of-the-art performance dining center with a full-service commercial kitchen and meals tailored to individual performance plans. Flexible dining zones accommodate a range of interactions, from quiet study or small team meetings to large communal gatherings and a dynamic sports lounge.

The lower level houses a comprehensive athletics medicine and recovery suite, incorporating hydrotherapy pools, prehabilitation and rehabilitation zones, and readiness areas to reduce downtime and maximize physical resilience. These specialized environments are designed to provide top-tier resources that mirror professional sport standards.
