Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv Moves into Dynamic New Studio in the Heart of San Diego

(San Diego, July 29, 2025) – The global integrated design firm Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv has moved to a new office in downtown San Diego, designed with a human-centric approach to post-pandemic workplace environments.

Located at 770 First Avenue, Suite 300, the clean, modern space supports Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv’s design work on K-12 education and higher education projects while positioning the studio for growth in cultural and performing arts and justice and civic design. Providing an inspiring environment for creative and collaborative experiences, the space features inclusive settings to accommodate diverse work modes; thoughtfully selected materials to support employee wellness; and a strategic mix of analog and technology-forward tools for teams to visualize and refine design solutions. Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv’s design outfitted the office with flexible work areas and amenity spaces to serve a growing studio of 40 design professionals.

Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv has established a strong reputation in the San Diego market for creating educational environments that respond to community needs while fostering creativity and well-being. This approach is exemplified in its work for Del Mar Heights School, which replaces an aging K-6 elementary school with an immersive learning environment perched on scenic bluffs overlooking Del Mar. Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv created learning villages with visual connections to the coastline and surrounding nature preserve, grouping them by grade level, collaborative spaces, and indoor/outdoor experiences that honor individual learning styles. For Logan Memorial Educational Campus in San Diego, Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv reconfigured multiple separate neighborhood public schools into one unified system spanning preschool to high school and designed classroom villages around collaboration spaces to enable flexible learning.

A Flexible Environment to Support Diverse Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv Styles

Aligned with this educational design philosophy, and recognizing that everyone learns and works differently, the new San Diego office accommodates diverse work modes and sensory needs with distinct environments for individual focus, team collaboration, and casual interaction.

High-energy spaces like the hospitality-forward work café balance quieter retreats such as a wellness room and focus rooms with diffuse lighting. Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv areas include intimate spaces for one-on-one conversations, built-in banquettes with integrated power, and meeting rooms of various sizes for collective ideation and problem solving. Spray applied acoustic insulation in open workstation areas provides acoustic comfort, while felt wall panels and sound-absorbing drapery within conference rooms enhance privacy.

Embracing Employee Wellness as Essential to Performance

Minimalist architecture, natural materials, and a warm-toned color palette create a calming atmosphere to support employee wellness and productivity. Wood fiber ceilings, plywood table edges, and cork pin-up walls add texture and warmth, giving spaces a less institutional feel.

Focus and collaboration rooms line the open studio space, bringing natural light to frequently used work areas. The angularity of the building’s central atrium defines a welcoming entry and creates geometries that support intuitive wayfinding. Plantings connect users to nature, while building amenities such as a fitness room and covered outdoor areas provide opportunities for mental breaks and fresh air.

Customized for Analog and Tech-Forward Design Processes

The office blends analog and digital design tools through communal writable surfaces, multi-angle conference cameras, and magnetic wall surfaces that integrate digital projection and hand sketching. A maker space that accommodates a 3D printer and CNC machine enables teams to create detailed, 3D-site models with movable components for community planning sessions.

“Showcasing thoughtful attention to employee wellness, preferences, and participatory design processes, the new office provides a compelling counterpart to working from home and attracts prospective new hires,†said Moreland.
