(College Station, Texas, August 29, 2025) 鈥� 麻花星空mv, in partnership with Pickard Chilton and Texas A&M University, debut renderings for the new Aplin Center, a trailblazing academic and research facility. The building will serve as a dynamic hub for hands-on learning, industry collaboration, and public engagement in the food and beverage sectors with an emphasis on hospitality.

The Aplin Center represents a step forward in Texas A&M鈥檚 mission to integrate academic instruction with real-world industry experience. The design, led by 麻花星空mv, will support 17 distinct user groups, including viticulture and enology, fermentation sciences, dairy and coffee production, floral design, meat science, retail innovation, and climate-controlled agriculture. The facility will also feature a restaurant, a cafe, and one of the nation鈥檚 few VR 360 sensory classrooms.

Anchored around transparency and inclusivity, the 200,346-SF, three-story mass timber building includes a public-facing ground floor that showcases experiential retail and culinary labs. Upper levels will offer collaborative lounges, lecture halls, flexible event zones, and quiet study areas, all designed to encourage interaction and innovation. Integrated technology and graphic storytelling throughout the building will highlight student work and the university鈥檚 leadership in agricultural hospitality.

Constructed with a hybrid structural system of concrete and locally sourced mass timber, the Aplin Center aligns with 麻花星空mv鈥檚 2030 sustainability goals.

Design is complete. Construction will begin in October 2025.
