Texas A&M and Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv Reveal Vision for Innovative Aplin Center

(College Station, Texas, August 29, 2025) – Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv, in partnership with Pickard Chilton and Texas A&M University, debut renderings for the new Aplin Center, a trailblazing academic and research facility. The building will serve as a dynamic hub for hands-on learning, industry collaboration, and public engagement in the food and beverage sectors with an emphasis on hospitality.

The Aplin Center represents a step forward in Texas A&M’s mission to integrate academic instruction with real-world industry experience. The design, led by Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv, will support 17 distinct user groups, including viticulture and enology, fermentation sciences, dairy and coffee production, floral design, meat science, retail innovation, and climate-controlled agriculture. The facility will also feature a restaurant, a cafe, and one of the nation’s few VR 360 sensory classrooms.

Anchored around transparency and inclusivity, the 200,346-SF, three-story mass timber building includes a public-facing ground floor that showcases experiential retail and culinary labs. Upper levels will offer collaborative lounges, lecture halls, flexible event zones, and quiet study areas, all designed to encourage interaction and innovation. Integrated technology and graphic storytelling throughout the building will highlight student work and the university’s leadership in agricultural hospitality.

Constructed with a hybrid structural system of concrete and locally sourced mass timber, the Aplin Center aligns with Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv’s 2030 sustainability goals.

Design is complete. Construction will begin in October 2025.
