Despite being a highly secure emergency facility, our design maximizes light and views, avoiding a bunker-like atmosphere. Clerestory windows leverage daylight for stress mitigation while still prioritizing functionality in the screen-rich operations environment. The deep recesses around the windows diminish the scale of the space, making it feel safe and comfortable.
Built for Partnership
The 37,400-SF regional complex houses a consolidated 911 Dispatch/Public Safety Answering Point, Emergency Operations Center, County Emergency Management Agency offices, and associated dispatch partners.
Hardened for Resilience, Net-Zero Performance
The hardened facility is designed to withstand a direct hit by a tornado, resisting wind loads of up to 250 mph, and provides an ICC 500 Storm Shelter. Designed for net-zero energy, the ROC tracks solar and geothermal energy output and energy usage in real-time.
